Butchart Gardens Re-Design Launches
Victoria, BC - July 26, 2007 - The Butchart Gardens, a 103 year old business, today launched a complete redesign of their popular website. The well known attraction is recognized for its stunning visual displays and it has lavishly filled its website with photographs, interactive maps and animated flash presentations.
"In the last year we have had website visitors from all Canadian provinces and U.S. states, plus another 170 countries ranging from Andorra to Zambia, so we do know the Internet is a marvelous way to instantly communicate with potential visitors worldwide," said Dave Cowen, general manager of The Butchart Gardens.
The Hon. Stan Hagen, minister of Tourism, Sport and the Arts used a pair of secateurs to prune vegetation to reveal a screen showing The Gardens' new website.
"We are delighted to have had the expertise of CMAEON™, a locally based website developer and e-marketing company, in creating our new design. With the sticky content, plus an incredible depth of information, website visitors should be able to find everything they need to plan a visit," commented Alison Partridge, director of public relations and marketing.
The Butchart Gardens was created in 1904 by Jennie Butchart out of her husband's worked-out limestone quarry site, welcoming over one million guests from around the world each year, and it has been designated a National Historic Site.
